Nella giornata di ieri, un’operazione di perquisizione ordinaria della Polizia Penitenziaria presso il Carcere di Carinola ha portato alla scoperta di un notevole quantitativo di sostanze stupefacenti, quali cocaina, hashish e crack.
Il Reparto Cinofili di Avellino ha svolto un ruolo fondamentale nella riuscita dell’operazione, contribuendo alla localizzazione delle droghe e dei telefoni cellulari illeciti all’interno dell’Istituto Penitenziario.
Il fenomeno dilagante di introduzione di sostanze stupefacenti e telefoni cellulari illegali all’interno delle carceri è stato denunciato più volte dall’OSAPP (Organizzazione Sindacale Autonoma Polizia Penitenziaria). Questi dispositivi illegali consentono ai detenuti di stabilire contatti con l’esterno, gestendo affari illeciti e creando gravi problemi di sicurezza all’interno delle strutture carcerarie.
L’OSAPP ha sottolineato l’urgente necessità di adottare contromisure normative adeguate per contrastare tale fenomeno, proponendo un inasprimento delle sanzioni disciplinari per coloro che introdurranno droga e telefoni cellulari nelle carceri, seguito da trasferimenti verso istituti penitenziari fuori dalla regione.
L’OSAPP continuerà a sollecitare i vertici amministrativi e politici affinché dedichino maggiori risorse e attenzione alla Polizia Penitenziaria ed ai problemi delle carceri.
La sicurezza all’interno delle strutture penitenziarie è una priorità e il Sindacato si farà sempre portavoce delle necessità e delle sfide che il Personale di Polizia Penitenziaria affronta quotidianamente.
